Hi! I’m Elaine Medley. I am a mother and a certified Postpartum Doula by the International Doula Institute. I have several years of experience and have serviced over 50 clients primarily operating in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). Becoming a Postpartum Doula was the greatest change in my life, having worked in the Finance Industry for over a decade. Everyone needs support, and birthing and caring for a new baby is the most important job and one of the most difficult jobs there is.

Holistic support and unconditional care for the baby, parents, siblings and family are a few bedrocks of being a Postpartum Doula. I am passionate about newborns and getting to help in this most amazing period and transition of a family’s life is an experience beyond what word can truly describe. This important task also humbles me. Every baby is different, and unique in nature. From the way they cry, move, show comfort and discomfort, to the little noises they make trying to communication what they want. Each experience is different, and each baby, parents and family will definitely benefit from the services of a Postpartum Doula.
